Fabric of My Soul

In the midst of a wintry December day
A beautiful writer came across on my way
With ink flowing with lines of love
With a brush painting wings of desire
Together they now light up my nights
With the flame and warmth of a camp fire

Transformed is the cold of the night
 Conjured are the rays of sunshine
The lines weave a magic of romance
The paintings make one go in a trance
Hand in hand they walk in my mind
With my heart and soul and all the rest

With her pen coining words of love
With her brush painting drawings divine  
I now have a dazzling treasure trove
To rummage through in times of lonesomeness
And pick up long forgotten threads of happiness
To stitch back the torn fabric of my soul
